Let's do it?

Ingredients to make Oven Pastry with Guarana:

For mass:

 ½ kilogram of wheat flour

 ½ can of guanara

250 grams of margarine (about 1 and 1⁄4 cup)

 1 teaspoon of salt

Filling suggestion:

500 grams of cooked and shredded chicken breast

 1 chopped onion

 2 chopped garlic cloves

 ½ sachet of tomato sauce

 4 tablespoons of cream cheese

 ¼ cup of chopped olives

4 tablespoons of drained green corn

 1 tablespoon of olive oil

 parsley or chives to taste

 Black pepper

 salt

How to make Oven Pastry with Guarana:

Prepare the guanará pastry dough by placing the flour in a bowl or, preferably, on a marble countertop. Open a circle in the middle, sprinkle the salt over the flour and, in the center, place the guanará and margarine mixed together.

Little by little, mix the flour from the edges with the ingredients in the center, in circular motions with your hand. Finish mixing the flour until you get a smooth, peeling dough - no need to press too hard or knead.

In order for the dough not to stick to the countertop when opening, follow this trick: place a sheet of plastic film on the countertop, sprinkle flour on it, place the pastel dough and open it. Sprinkle more flour, cover with another sheet of plastic film and finish opening with the roller until it is about 5 mm thick. Reserve.

We suggest the democratic chicken stuffing prepared as follows: saute the chopped onion and garlic in olive oil until golden. Add the chicken, tomato sauce, curd, olives, corn and parsley or chives. Bring to a boil over low heat until creamy and to taste with salt and pepper.

Tip: This dough accepts any type of filling, sweet or savory.

With the filling ready, it's time to fill the guarana pastry: peel off the top plastic and cut the dough into discs. Place a portion of the filling onto each pastry disk and close by pressing the edges with your fingers or a fork.

Tip: If you want, at that moment you can freeze the pastries to bake at another time. You can also freeze the dough cut into slices and without filling, so keep it with the disks separated by pieces of parchment paper.

Brush each pastry with beaten egg yolk and place on a greased baking sheet or lined with parchment paper. Bake in a preheated oven at 180ºC for 20 minutes or until golden.

Your guarana baked pastry is ready! Serve hot and see how it tastes good! Do not hesitate to prepare there at your house and tell us what you think. Enjoy your food!
